Photovoltaics - profitability calculator

What does our solar calculator give you?

After the entry into force of the new prosumer billing system, many potential investors were concerned about the difficulties associated with calculating the profitability of PV installations. Our experts have created a program for calculating photovoltaics that will allow you to estimate the profitability of any photovoltaic power plant.

You dont need to be an expert or installer. If you have problems filling in any of the fields, you will find an icon representing a question mark next to each of them. Point the mouse cursor at it and read the short instruction that will appear. Do you run a business and want to fuel it with „green energy”? Select the „Company” tab and some of the parameters of the solar installation calculator will be adapted to the specifics of these investments.

Profitability calculator for a photovoltaic installation - assumptions

When creating our program for calculating photovoltaics, we wanted to provide prosumers with a free and simple tool that will calculate the return on each PV installation according to the net-billing principles.

You dont need to install any software on your computer. The results from our solar calculator will be displayed in your browser when you fill in all the required fields and press the „Generate result” button. Do you want to learn more about the net-billing principle? Read on article published on our blog and find out how new prosumers will be billed from July 1, 2022.

Photovoltaic profitability - how to use the calculator?

Using our program for calculating photovoltaics is very simple. If you already have your own PV installation project, you will find, among others, power of a photovoltaic power plant, the cost of its construction or the annual yield from one kilowatt (kW). Enter this data in the indicated fields. If you do not already have such a document, please contact a system design and installation company or use the solar installation calculator available on the Internet. You cannot edit gray colored fields. The values they contain will be completed automatically when you enter the rest of the data.

The results of the calculator to calculate the profitability of photovoltaics - how to interpret them?

When all the fields are completed, press the „Generate result” button. Our solar calculator will display a bar graph and two tables.

The calculations take into account the economic balance of the PV installation, starting from the first year of its installation. Are you wondering in which year your photovoltaic power plant will turn into profit? See which chart bar or table row will be highlighted in yellow.

If you dont have time to analyze your results year by year, check out the second table at the bottom of the page. The photovoltaic calculator will calculate how much money you would spend on electricity without PV installations for 25 years and show you what your bills will look like if you choose to install the panels on your roof. The PV Profitability Calculator will subtract these two values and show the savings that your installation will generate for a quarter of a century.
