This line of surge arresters is made up of class 1+2 devices. They are used to protect electrical installations against direct lightning strikes of low intensity. Suitable for lightning protection zones LPL III, IV according to EN 62305 in a 3-phase network TN-C where the total current input to the electrical system is 37.5 kA and its stroke can be 75 or 100 kA depending on the configuration and position of the grounding point, the grounding of the lightning system, and the location of the surge arrester.
The design of Ex9UE1+2 12.5 arresters is based on varistor elements. It provides a low response time and meets the criteria of both class I and II. The modular design with replaceable inserts allows for quick and easy replacement of functional modules in case of burnout, due to the frequent occurrence of surge peaks.
