Projoy DC Safety Switch for firefighters from the PEFS series, in the event of a fire in a building with a photovoltaic installation, will automatically switch off and isolate the photovoltaic panels from the rest of the system after manually disconnecting the AC power on the inverter side. This effectively eliminates high DC voltage from the PV installation, allowing firefighters to take action to extinguish the fire or eliminate other hazards without the risk of electric shock.
The same applies to maintenance work carried out by the power company. When AC grid voltage is lost, the PEFS switch automatically disconnects the DC circuit in the photovoltaic system, cutting off voltage on the AC side of the inverter, thus influencing its lifespan. The Projoy safety switch is also useful during repair or maintenance work within the customer’s photovoltaic installation.
Projoy Model PEFS-EL40H-10(P2) allows disconnection of up to 5 PV strings.
